There’s plenty to organise when you’re making a move, so we’re here to help make turning the lights on easy. If you’re a new customer and you're in one of our service areas, you can book your move with Ampol Energy in just five minutes using our simple online sign up.

  1. Sign up online, and select the right Ampol Energy plan for you.

  2. Enter your moving date (this must be more than three business days in the future).

  3. Make sure to turn off the main switch at your old property before leaving, and ensure there is clear, safe access to your meter.

If you’re moving in less than three business days, please call us as soon as possible on 13 14 04 (Monday – Friday, 9am-6pm Sydney time) so we can help organise power to your new home as soon as we can.

Moving fees

When you move, your distributor may charge a fee to disconnect the power at your current address - this is called a disconnection fee. They may also charge a fee to reconnect the power at your new property, if required (which is called a connection or reconnection fee). These fees are set by your distributor and may vary depending on your location. Ampol may collect these fees from you on behalf of your distributor - in that case we'll pass these charges onto you.

A cancellation of your energy plan with your current retailer may incur an early termination or exit fee. We recommend that you check the terms and conditions of your current plan before signing up with us.

^ View participating Ampol locations via the Store Locator in the Ampol App or here - please ensure location services are enabled on your device and filter by FuelPay® sites. Participating locations include all Ampol FuelPay® sites and Ampol Foodary sites, but do not include any EG sites.

# A maximum of 1,500L is claimable per year from date of sign up, refreshed on the anniversary of your energy plan sign up date.

~~  Payment must be made via the Ampol App. Customers must set up an account in the Ampol app with the same email address used to sign up to Ampol Energy. Payment must be made via:

  • Fuel Pay: Once you’ve fuelled up at a participating Ampol location, open the Ampol app, enter your pump number and hit pay now using your preferred payment method for automatic redemption of your Ampol Energy fuel discount; or
  • QR Code: To display QR code, visit the Rewards tab in the Ampol app and tap on the “Energy discount” cell or tap the QR code icon in the upper righthand corner of the screen. Present in store at the counter for scanning. Note: you can only redeem your Ampol Energy fuel discount using your QR code once every 24 hours. However, you can redeem your Ampol Energy fuel discount using FuelPay as often as you like.
