Get Ready to move

There’s plenty to organise when you’re making a move, so we’re here to help make turning the lights on easy. If you’re a new customer and you're in one of our service areas, you can book your move with Ampol Energy in just five minutes using our simple online sign up.

  1. Sign up online, and select the right Ampol Energy plan for you.

  2. Enter your moving date (this must be more than three business days in the future).

  3. Make sure to turn off the main switch at your old property before leaving, and ensure there is clear, safe access to your meter.

If you’re an existing customer, simply contact our Customer Service Team on 13 14 04 (Monday – Friday, 9am – 6pm Sydney time) to organise your move. 

Moving soon?

If you’re moving in less than three business days, please call us as soon as possible on 13 14 04 (Monday – Friday, 9am-6pm Sydney time) so we can help organise power to your new home as soon as we can.

Moving fees

When you move, your distributor may charge a fee to disconnect the power at your current address - this is called a disconnection fee. They may also charge a fee to reconnect the power at your new property, if required (which is called a connection or reconnection fee). These fees are set by your distributor and may vary depending on your location. Ampol may collect these fees from you on behalf of your distributor - in that case we'll pass these charges onto you.

A cancellation of your energy plan with your current retailer may incur an early termination or exit fee. We recommend that you check the terms and conditions of your current plan before signing up with us.
